Bio:Iskra, whose name means “Spark” in Russian, is a Venezuelan residing in a coastal city of this South American country. Her deep interest in philosophy, spirituality, and self-realization has led her to explore various schools of thought and disciplines, considering herself a “Spiritual Seeker.” Since her thirties, Yoga became a fundamental part of her life, dedicating more than 16 years to its study and practice. She shares her knowledge through classes and workshops in Venezuela and Latin America, founding Shala Ashtanga Yoga Maracay in 2022, within a community project called Casa Bhavana, to promote Yoga as a tool for individual and collective well-being, offering free yoga events for the community once a month. For over a decade, she practiced Ashtanga Yoga under the guidance of various authorized teachers, and she also has training in Power Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Raja Yoga, Pranayama, Thai Yoga Massage, Acro Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and basic knowledge of Ayurveda, accumulating more than 700 hours of instruction. In recent years, Eddie Stern, Robert Moses, and Harshvardhan Jhaveri have been influential figures in her journey, receiving certifications in Philosophical Traditions of India, Pranayama, and Yoga Sangraha from the Yoga Education College. She teaches classes and workshops in Spanish and English.
